JCPP Expands Membership and Remains Focused on Achieving Patient Access to Pharmacists’ Patient Care Services

Washington, DC – The Joint Commission of Pharmacy Practitioners (JCPP) expanded JCPP’s membership to include the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA).  JCPP member CEOs recognized the mission and unique voice that NPhA brings to JCPP and all JCPP organizations’ efforts to address health equity and access to pharmacists’ patient care services for individuals within communities across the nation.  The decision to approve NPhA’s application for JCPP membership coincided with JCPP’s Fall meeting whose theme was “Health Equity.”

The addition of NPhA expands the dialogue and collaboration among pharmacy organizations towards a common purpose.  JCPP is a forum of now 13 national pharmacy organizations working collaboratively to support achievement of the JCPP Vision for Pharmacists’ Practice: Pharmacists, as part of the healthcare team, are responsible for achieving optimal health, wellness and medication outcomes for all people.  This includes efforts to pass the “Equitable Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act” within the current Congress, and efforts at the state level.
